PROPERTY ITEMS ALLOWED

The below listed items are the only property permissible for County, State, and Federal inmates while housed here at the Sunflower County Sheriff Department. All other items will be cited as unauthorized; and therefore will be described as contraband. Sunflower County Sheriff Department will not be liable for any lost or stolen articles in the inmates living area.

• 1 Bible
• Legal and Personal Mail (Excessive amounts must be mailed out or discarded)
• 1 Plain Wedding Band, no other jewelry and no body piercing of any sort
• 10 Photos (No Pornography, or Photo Copies of Pictures and no Polaroid's)
• 1 Watch
• Personal Hygiene Items (Purchased through commissary)
• Correspondence Materials (Purchased through commissary)
• 2 pairs of shorts
• Will Be Allowed 1 MP3 ( NO USB PORT )Player or Radio And Batteries
• First Time Drop Stamps And Envelopes

The items listed below will be accepted through the mail or the bonding window for a period of fourteen days (14) after confinement at this facility. Beyond the fourteen (14) days these items will have to be purchased from the commissary. This applies to all inmates. Items received through the bonding windows will only be taken at these times: Wednesdays and Sundays between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• 2 Pair White "Long John" Underwear
• 5 White T-shirts (No pockets)
• 5 Pair White underwear (Briefs or Boxers)
• 5 Pair White socks
• 1 Pair of Deck Shoes or Tennis Shoes
• 1 Pair of Shower Shoes
• 2 Paperback books (Not available after fourteen days)
